Where in the world am I?

 Monday in China

Hi to everyone from China! What an awesome time we are having. Today were the first day of classes and the students are terrific, lots of friendships have already began. The countryside is beautiful...farms, water buffalos, goats, chickens, etc. are everywhere. Food is interesting and we are getting quite proficient with chop sticks. "Squatty Potties" are interesting to say the least. The best part are the people. All are friendly, warm and very curious of the Americans. We are the talk of the town.

PS...They call Randy a movie star -- he said autographs will be available when we return.

 a little note...

hello all... we are doing extremely well. i am personally more than thrilled to be here and doing the things that we are. we commence teaching tomorrow morning, so that will be an adventure... have had opportunity to eat many pleasant things... we ate worms(including randy, which is ironic as to previous comment by one of his friends=).
Megan and Damien are doing well (Megan's mom...) and i love them just the same in China as at home in the states so this is good news.
STEVE- good news about the chicken head, only it was in our dinner and with avian flu concerns it was slightly difficult to manage bringing it home! (will try for fake one still though...)

Well, will tell of all things when we are home... miss you mom, dad and of course Juliette.. oh and cody. =) jk. i love you little bro....

 Sunday

Today was awesome, we had the opportunity to meet with the teachers, sightsee with them a bit, and then have dinner with the students. Some of the students grasp of English isn't what we had anticipated, but we trust our Father to work out the details.

We were taken to a Buddist temple by the teachers as part of the sighseeing, it was interesting and sad. One of the teachers has an English name of Grace and while at the temple asked one of our team members what that means. Anoher opportunity to share the grace of G. It was really cool to hear that spoken in the temple. Other witnessing opportunities were present and all is good.

Everyone is tired, but healhy and fired up for G...

 What an opportunity

I figured that our "work" would really begin once we landed in Xichang, but little did I know what G would have in store for us beforehand. The one empty seat remaining on the flight from Beijing to our connecting flight (city to be named later) was next to me. A young Chinese gentleman sat there and began to speak to me telling me that he was on his way home from traveling in the states recently for business. He spoke English well and we quickly began to talk, developing a relationship. Before the fight left the terminal he was telling me about his faith (Dao) and I was able to ask him questions about it. Before we took off I was sharing with him the Gospel and how JC died for our sins. Several important truths including grace, eternal life, and the hope we have in Him were discussed. Those from our team sitting nearby were seeking on his behalf before G and the truth poured our incredibly. We continued to talk during the 2 hour flight and he seemed very interested, but not ready for a commitment yet. Especially interesting was when he told me he had Bib.., given to him by one of our brothers in S. Korea. I was truly in awe of the opportunity.... On the way back to Beijing next Saturday we are stooping in his city overnight and I plans to have dinner with him and his wife. Lift up the opportunity to our father above. G is good, all the time. Blessings from one tired warrior, Randy

 I hate flying!!!!!!!!!!!

We are all very sick of flying. Thankfully we are finally in Xichang. It is so beautiful here. Very lush and green. The people here are gracious and curious. The hotel we are at is extremely nice and the food is AWESOME!!!
Tomorrow we start the work of the Father. Today we saw our first Miracle. I'll let Mr McCaleb elaborate later
All are fine but very tired. The humidity has been draining.
Today we left from Beijing at 5:30 and finally arrived here at 3:00.
Tomorrow we will see some sights with the school directors and then in the afternoon go to the school to meet our students. Please talk to the Father for us so we can have boldness and discernment. Also for strength of body and mind.
The kids are doing great. They have their wish to be rock stars!!!
miss you all.
10 days till ous son is home. The flight home for us will be neverending as we anticipate that reunion!!!

Hello to all my kids from Work!!!
